Juaben Rural Bank Launches Tree Planting Initiative to Mark 40th Anniversary
As Juaben Rural Bank celebrates its 40th anniversary on October 24th, 2024, the bank is proud to embark on a tree planting exercise that aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 11: “Greening our cities and communities”.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nana Dr. Appiagyei Danka-Woso, in a precursor tree planting event organised at Juaben, Ashanti, on the 16th day of August 2024, intimated that the bank aims to plant 40,000 trees over the next 10 years. The tree planting exercise is intended to achieve the following objectives:
1. To foster a culture of environmental stewardship and promote a sense of responsibility towards protecting our ecosystem.
2. To promote healthy living by recognizing the essential role a healthy environment plays in individual well-being and productivity.
3. To combat global warming
This investment will have a lasting impact on improving the health status of our communities and contributing to a sustainable future.
